Three Diné College Students depart to attend the Vassar College Exploring Transfer Program

16th June 2024

Albuquerque, NM – Three Diné College students, Autumn C. Russell, Jessica L. Taylor, and Tylia S. Begaye, were selected to participate in the Vassar College Exploring Transfer (ET) Program, which will take place from June 24 through July 26, 2024, in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Each has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and a deep commitment to personal and community development, making them ideal representatives for this program.

Vassar College is an independent, coeducational, residential liberal arts college located in New York’s Hudson Valley. It was founded in 1861 to offer women an education equivalent to that of the best men’s colleges of the period and became coeducational in 1969.

The Vassar College Exploring Transfer Program (www.vassar.edu) provides students from community colleges across the United States with an opportunity to experience life at a four-year institution. The program aims to broaden participants’ academic horizons, enhance their readiness for transfer, and inspire them toward achieving their higher education goals. Over five weeks, the selected students will engage in coursework, participate in educational activities, and immerse themselves in campus life at Vassar College.

Diné College extends congratulations to the selected students and wishes them a meaningful experience at Vassar College.
