Diné College Hosts Child & Human Growth Development Series
25th September 2024
TSAILE, AZ – Diné College recently hosted a successful event as part of its Human Growth & Development Series, focusing on the critical stages of Child Development. The presentation and workshop took place on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Diné College Sub Activity Room, with a significant number of attendees participating both in-person and virtually via Zoom. “The event provided an in-depth Diné Cultural and Western exploration of the various stages of child development, including Infancy, Early Childhood, Middle Childhood, and Adolescence,” stated Travis Teller, Student Mental Health Coordinator. “Attendees had the opportunity to engage with presentations that offered valuable understandings into the growth and developmental characteristics of each stage. The workshop allowed participants to interact more closely with the material, promoting a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in child development.”
The event had a talk and a discussion that helped people understand the topic well. This helped them use what they learned at work and in their personal lives. The event showed that Diné College is dedicated to giving good education and resources to the community. This adds to the bigger conversation about how people grow and change. With a virtual option, the event reached more people and was open to everyone.
