Diné College Announces Graduation Ceremony Details

Tsaile, AZ – Diné College will host its 2024 graduation ceremony on December 13th at its Tsaile campus. The event marks a significant milestone for students across the college’s schools, including Arts and Humanities, Business and Social Science, Diné Studies and Education, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Award-winning journalist Charly Edsitty of KTRK-ABC 13 in Houston, Texas, will deliver the commencement address. Edsitty, a Diné journalist, has over a decade of experience in storytelling and has covered pivotal national events, including hurricanes, mass shootings, and the COVID-19 pandemic. She attributes her passion for journalism to her Diné heritage and family. A Baylor University graduate with a print journalism degree, Edsitty also completed internships at the White House and CBS News.
The ceremony, which will take place in the college gymnasium, will open with a faculty-led processional, followed by the posting of colors and the national anthem. It will also include a benediction from academic leadership and reflections celebrating this year’s graduating class.
Friends, family, and community members are invited to attend the event to honor the graduates’ hard work and achievements.
Graduates will join a growing network of alums committed to advancing their communities and embodying Diné College’s values. The ceremony will conclude with the Diné College Song, symbolizing the institution’s mission to empower students through education while honoring Diné culture and traditions.
