Dine Environmental Institute & Outreach
The increased awareness of the science, math, environmental and technological fields of profession are a primary goal for DEI. With research-based learning and a focus on curriculum development, we aim toward a progressive system of student learning, adhering to the college mission so each student will develop into a determined, self-reliant student in the science, math, environmental and technological fields.
Research
DEI conducts environmental studies through field and laboratory research and analysis, culturally relevant curriculum development, educational instruction, data collection and management, including repository archiving and sharing, policy formation, community outreach and training and environmental project management.

The Diné Environmental Institute is accepting applications for the 2019 Summer Internship in the following research activities:
Ten Week Summer Program:
- Three week course work (4 cr.) in environmental science research methods, field biology, GIS
- Six weeks research internship (3 cr.) in area of interest
- One week analysis and presentation of research (3 cr.)
