The Fall semester starts in August or September and ends in December, while the Spring semester begins in January and ends in May. These are the main academic terms for most colleges and universities.

Refund Policy for Cancelled Courses
A student will receive a full tuition refund if a course is cancelled by the college.This does not include the non-refundable fees (i.e. registration, technology, activity, etc)
Tuition Refund
Tuition is refunded from the date of instruction begins as follows.| Before instruction begins | 100% |
| 1 to 14 calendar days | 80% |
| 15 to 21 calendar days | 60% |
| 22 to 28 calendar days | 40% |
| 29 to 35 calendar days | 20% |
| After 35 calendar days | Non-refundable |
Student Housing and Meal Plan Refund
Student Housing and Meal Plans are refunded from the date of check-in as follows.

| 6 to 14 calendar days | 80% |
| 15 to 21 calendar days . | 60% |
| After 21 calendar days | Non-refundable |
