Diné College Future Leaders Symposium

Tsaile, Ariz. — Diné College hosted the Future Leaders Symposium, an event to empower future Diné leaders. The symposium took place from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Diné College Quad Area (Corn Stalk). The event began with “Donuts with Deans” from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by an FBI presentation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. At 11:00 AM, a keynote speaker before enjoying a BBQ lunch with students from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. The day concluded with a professional panel and ice cream social from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
Highlights of the symposium included insights from the FBI presentation, inspiration from the distinguished keynote speaker, a BBQ lunch on the quad, and an opportunity to engage with experts during the professional panel. Participants in the panel discussion included Dr. Rowin Begaye, Leroy Pooley, and Sharon Murray-Watson. Additionally, there were raffle prizes and opportunities throughout the event.
The symposium aimed to provide participants with information and skills, promoting community motivation by informed leaders. Diné College invited all interested individuals to join this event and take part for the future of Diné leadership.
