Diné College Warrior Scholarship Fund receives $5,000 from Better Place Forests

TSAILE, Ariz. — Better Place Forests, an organization who creates conservation memorial forests, generously donated $5,000 to the Diné College Warrior Scholarship Fund. The Diné College Warrior Scholarship has a fundraising goal of $500,000 for the year 2021.
Better Place Forests is the first organization to create conservation memorial forests. Their mission is to inspire everyone to leave a meaningful legacy for the planet and the people they love. Better Place Forests help families personalize their end-of-life plans while leaving a lasting legacy of forest conservation by offering sustainable alternatives to cemeteries. They work with families to choose a private, protected family tree to return their ashes to the earth together

Diné College is a four-year tribal college located on the Navajo reservation with six campuses and two microsites across Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah and primarily serves Navajo students. The school offers 20 bachelor degrees, 16 associate degrees, and 6 certificate programs. The school is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The college, established in 1968, is the first tribal college and was formerly named Navajo Community College.
